Keynote Speaker

Phil Reynolds
Maintenance Manager
The Hershey Company

Phil Reynolds is the maintenance manager for The Hershey Company's manufacturing facility in Robinson, IL, where over 130 million pounds of candy are produced each year. The plant produces select products for the following Hershey brands: Scharffen Berger®, Heath®, Skor®, PayDay®, Zero®, Milk Duds®, Reese’s® Pieces, Brookside®, and Whoppers®.

Phil oversees 58 full-time personnel who are responsible for maintaining the facility's candy making and packaging operations; building and utility support groups, including HVAC and compressed air systems; interior and exterior lighting; and the water supply within the building, as well as at the on-site waste water pre-treatment plant.

With his BOC certification, Phil has put his knowledge to good use alongside plant project manager J.D. Bayne. The two have partnered with Ameren Illinois to complete energy reduction projects at their facility, increasing efficiency and positioning the plant to compete for additional line volumes and new products within the Hershey system. As their efforts continue to pay off with savings, this team now sees every project as an opportunity to reduce energy consumption.
