HELP IS ON THE WAY
In the wake of the most severe storms, the Ameren Illinois Utilities storm trailers hit the road, with an encouraging message splashed on their sides: Help is on the way.
These 53-foot road warriors bring supplies directly to crews working in the hardest-hit areas. In fact, one storm trailer can typically serve about 250 linemen. Each of these portable emergency storerooms is equipped with a generator and stocked with 200 varieties of items, from splices and wires to cross arms and connectors.
